The Jeunesse Musicales Jazz World is an international jazz big band for
globe’s best young musicians. Led by acclaimed international artistic
directors, the orchestra meets for a weeks’ rehearsal before heading on
to tour the international jazz circuit.
Talented musicians between 18 and 26 years old, playing saxophone,
trombone, trumpet, horn, tuba, guitar, bass, drums, percussion, piano and
vocals are invited to apply by 14th March 2016.

Fest 2016, one of the most important cultural events in Portugal and worldwide, will be held in Espinho from 20th to 27th June.
Young directors (up to 30 years of age only for the Short and Medium Film Competition) are invited to send their videos, which must have been concluded after 1st March 2014, under one of these categories: Fiction; Documentary; Experimental and Animation. Directors can submit more than one film, in separate entries. They cannot submit the same film in more than one category. Videos should be on DVD, Blueray and Hard Drive formats and be in English or have English subtitles.
There are small administration fees.

The rest of the Coxless Crew is set to arrive in Australia in early 2016. Beyond the world records they set (the first crew to row the Pacific, the first female crew to do so and the fastest row across it), they want to inspire all women to support each other because, as they say, “Everyone’s got their own Pacific to cross.”

Dat fiind faptul că în actuala campanie electorală pentru alegerile prezidenţiale, majoritatea candidaţilor se lansează în discursuri sterile despre defectele contracandidaţilor şi motivele pentru care aceştia nu trebuiesc votaţi, am identificat zece – posibile – motive pentru care un candidat mai deosebit nu ar trebui votat. Mă refer aici la Klaus Iohannis, iar pentru foarte multă lume o parte din aceste motive probabil nu constitue nici o noutate. Însă ele necesită atenţie.

Discover e-volunteering is open – 4 grants x 2000 euro are waiting!

We would like to kindly ask you for the support with spreading the word on the Discover e-volunteering grant competition in your country. We are convinced, that with your help we will be able to reach more NGOs that can benefit from the competition.
What do we search for?
Ideas for e-volunteering projects – projects, in which volunteers do their tasks via the Internet. They can e.g. share or gather information, support others, teach others (e-learning), become a civic jornalists, etc.
Who can take part in the competition?
Any European NGO.
What to win?
4 grants x 2000 euro and the participation in international workshops and mentoring sessions.

Eur@dioNantes has launched a Call for interns.
Eur@dioNantes, a European Radio station based in Nantes and supported by the European Commission, has launched a call for interns.
High-level bilingual (in French) students in political science, journalism or European studies, interested in European issues and who would like to get a formative experience in the world of New European Media are invited to apply.
The internship will start on the 25th August 2014 in Nantes and run up until the 20th February 2015 (documents have to be returned as soon as possible).
Interns will get a monthly allowance of about 436,05 €. Interns will have the unique opportunity to be trained by French professionals and to start their career in a dynamic European environment.
